Pereyaslav-Khmel`nytsky is my native town. It is not large but it is very beautiful. It`s very green. There are many trees, bushes, flowers in it. There are many woods, meadows, fields and hills near it.
Our town is situated on the banks of the rivers Alta and Trubizh. There is a great river Dnipro not far from Pereyaslav-Khmel`nytsky.
There are 27 museums in our native town. They are: the Historical Museum, the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, «Forced crossing of the Dnipro in Pereyaslav-Khmel`nytsky district in 1943», «Open air museum of Folk Architecture and Art» and many others.
In the Open Air Museum there are: the museum of Decorative and Applaud Art, the Museum of Classic Church, the memorial Museum of space Exploration, the memorial museum of electric welding Banardos, the museum of Folk road transport.
The Open Air Museum is divided into several parts according to the main ethnical regions of Ukraine: Poltava Region, Podillia, Pollissia and Southern Ukraine.
Ancient peasants` houses, churches, mills, and other architectural structures from all over Ukraine have been dismantled, transferred to the museum and restored here. Almost all buildings are presented with their historical farm yards, which gives a good impression of the most distinctive features of different regions of Ukraine. Inside the buildings there are exhibitions of traditional Ukrainian clothes, objects from wood and ceramics.
I like visiting the Open Air Museum because it provides a wide range of activities whatever season you come here, so you never get bored.
The main street of Pereyaslav-Khmel`nytsky is Bohdana Khmel`nytskoho Street. Almost all main buildings are situated in it. As for me I live in district«Lahery». It`s not central but it`s green and quiet. There is Trubizh river not far from our house. I like my district, street and I also like my native town.
